Thank you for your interest in our Cub Scout pack. Our objective is to provide the parents and the Cub Scout with a fun and exciting scouting experience. Our goal is for every Cub Scout to earn the rank of Arrow of Light, the highest award in Cub Scouting, and to prepare him for Boy Scouts.
The following is some information about our pack and how we are organized:
- We are honored to have the Chino Hills Kiwanis Club as our chartered organization.
- We are part of the Boy Scouts of America California Inland Empire Council. Our unit designation is 2216 and are part of the Temescal District.
- We have been active in Chino Hills since 1985 and are the oldest pack in our community.
- We have partnered with Chino Hills AYSO region 779 for fundraising. We provide snack stands at Canyon Hills and Townsend Junior High Schools during the soccer season. This typically raises between $4,000 and $6,000 which goes towards awards, pack activities, new equipment, and funds for den activities.
- During the summer months we organize several Pack events and encourage the family to attend and participate in the scouting experience.
- Once a month, between September and May, we meet at Los Serranos Elementary School for a Pack meeting. At the Pack meeting, we do songs, skits, and recognize all of the Cub Scouts who have earned awards. Each Pack meeting lasts
approximately one hour.
- The pack is divided into dens of 6 to 8 scouts. The dens are organized by the ranks of Tiger Cub, Wolf, Bear, Webelos I, and Webelos II. Each den meets 3 to 4 times a month to work on rank advancement and have fun. Each den
meeting will last between 1 and 1-1/2 hour.
- We have strong leadership. All of our leaders are dedicated to our objectives and goals. We are always looking for new leaders to join. We typically meet once a month for a planning meeting which lasts 1 hour. The more volunteers we have, the stronger our Pack becomes. If you want to be part of the scouting experience, please let any of the leaders know. No scouting experience is required.
- We welcome boys who have special needs. We modify the program as needed to meet your scout's abilities.
- The entire family is welcome to all of our Pack events. We try to organize events so that there are activities for everyone.
